I volunteered as a Selection Day Judge for the Coro Northern California Fellowship in Public Affairs to help select the next class.
This was my 3rd time volunteering as a selection day judge!
Coro Northern California's Fellows Program Selection Day
Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm PST
Zoom
Each year since 1947, Coro's esteemed Fellows Program in Public Affairs has led 12 emerging leaders through a rigorous, nine-month, graduate-level learning experience. Fellows learn to lead and collaborate across sectors and boundaries, and produce solutions to complex problems.
On March 19, 2022, Coro virtually convened a select and diverse group of civic leaders to serve as judges for their candidates.
The day-long selection process includes group exercises and individual interviews where judges observe and interact with 36 finalists chosen from a highly competitive national pool.
As a judge, I was tasked with assessing each candidate's leadership potential, intellect, character, experience, and commitment to public service.
This year's Selection Day was fully virtual to protect the health and safety of candidates, judges and staff.
