Code Nation Bay Area Leadership Council

I joined Code Nation as an official member of its Bay Area Leadership Council.

Code Nation is a 501c3 nonprofit that equips students in under-resourced high schools with the skills, experiences, and connections that together create access to careers in tech.

As a member of Code Nation's Bay Area Leadership Council, I help Code Nation achieve their mission by providing the Bay Area Managing Director, Shantina Jackson, with regionally focused strategic advice, connections, and resources.

As a member, my responsibilities include:

∙ Taking a public stand in support of educational opportunity & the inclusive growth of the Bay Area’s tech sector

∙ Helping Code Nation navigate the local coding/computer science landscape and establishing deep partnerships among Bay Area school leaders

∙ Fostering a community of Bay Area companies who actively support Code Nation's work with their tech talent and resources

∙ Growing Code Nation's philanthropic base of support by making a personally meaningful donation every year and introducing Code Nation to others who can give

∙ Providing strategic advice and guidance to the Bay Area Managing Director

As part of the Industry Inclusion Committee, I specifically help more with volunteer recruitment, company recruitment and alumni support.
